Saturday 22nd October (yesterday) a home on Hitches Street Littleport was burgled.
It is always particularly upsetting for a victim who has medals stolen. The photograph shows the three items: a Northern Ireland General Service Medal, the Iraq General Service Medal and the Afghanistan General Service Medal.
In addition to these medals a military knife was stolen, an ornamental axe, and two regimental head dresses – from the Royal Anglican Regiment and the Royal Signals Regiment.
Detective Constable Mark Beaven, investigating the burglary has said:
“We are very keen to reunite the victim of this burglary with their property. Aside from the obvious value of the items, there is a huge personal value that cannot be stated in terms of money.”
DC Beaven is keen to speak to anyone who can assist him in tracing the items, or was a witness to anything on Hitches Street yesterday afternoon.
