Local Lad to Climb Kilimanjaro in support of Papyrus

Local lad Courtney Pettifor is to climb one of the highest mountains in the world for his best friend Dylan, who sadly committed suicide last year.
Courtney tells us, “I’m climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on August 21st in memory of my best friend who sadly died from suicide last November! Please spread the word and it would be amazing if I could get to my target of £1500 through your help! All money raised will go to PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, who are a charity who help save lives of young people having suicidal thoughts.”
Every year over 1600 young people take their own lives in the UK. Many thousands more contemplate suicide; many harm themselves or suffer alone, afraid to speak openly about how they are feeling.
PAPYRUS exists to give young people hope and to prevent young suicide.
We draw from the experience of many who have been touched personally by young suicide across the UK and speak on their behalf in our campaigns and in our endeavours to save young lives.
