Mike Leigh’s 1970s classic starring David Moat (Laurence), Sarah Dowd Crosby (Bev), Rania Kurdi (Sue), John Bedford (Tony) & Kirsten Martin (Angie) will hit The Brook stage in June!
Abigail’s Party opened in April 1977 at the Hampstead Theatre and is most well-known for the arranged recording produced at the BBC as a Play for Today, produced by Margaret Matheson.
In this character-driven satire you will be introduced to Beverly and Laurence who have invited over their new neighbours, Angela and Tony, for a visit, along with Sue whose daughter is holding a party at the house that night. As the tension between these characters grows the evening heads towards disaster…
