The academy responsible for taking over the running of Ely College next month is in the process of appointing a successor to principal Evelyn Forde.
As reported on Spotted in Ely last week, Ms Forde will be stepping down from her post at the end of August.
On July 1 Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust, CMAT, will be taking over the college from CfBT Schools Trust.
In a statement released today, Ely College announced that CMAT will “now commence the process of appointing a successor.”
The statement said that Ms Forde is “extremely proud of all that has been achieved by everyone in the school and to have worked with so many excellent staff and students during her time at Ely College.
“She wishes everyone and the school every success in the future, which she will follow with interest.”
Ely College has been in special measures since March 2015, following a damning Ofsted report.
