Speaking about his appointment, Anthony said: “I’m thrilled to have been appointed as the Headteacher of Lantern Community Primary School. This is a very exciting time to be a part of the school’s community and I am very much looking forward to continuing to build on our successes highlighted by Ofsted and for The Lantern to be the best that it can be.
“As part of Meridian Trust, I am proud that collaboration and teamwork are seen as central to continual improvement. The Lantern is a great place to teach in and to learn in!
“Thank you to all our colleagues, pupils and their families for the warm welcome and support I have been shown so far. I’m looking forward to lots of summer events over the next few weeks where I can put more faces to names and learn more about our wonderful community.”
Lantern Community Primary is a 4 to 11 school with a roll approaching 400 pupils, that provides comprehensive education for children in the Ely area.
