Where does Hickory Dickory Dock meet the Three Little Kittens while Dr Foster stands in a puddle right up to his middle and sips tea served by Polly?
Or Humpty Dumpty falls off the wall, serenaded by the Grand Old Duke of York, while stars twinkle all around?
The answer could be found at the Lantern Community Primary School last week, which celebrated World Nursery Rhyme Week for the first time.
Year one teachers Charlotte Leaver and Jenny King organised the special day to engage children in literacy in a fun, creative way. Youngsters got to make and sample jam tarts and performed songs to reception classes.
Miss Leaver said: “Myself and Miss King wanted to celebrate World Nursery Rhyme Week and thought that a dressing up day would be the perfect way to explore nursery rhymes.
“We have been so impressed by the fantastic costumes and with just how excited the children have been to explore a huge variety of rhymes.
“Although this is the first time we have celebrated World Nursery Rhyme Week I am sure that this is an event we will continue to celebrate in the future as the children’s enthusiasm has been fantastic as has parental support.”
