10is Academy (pronounced “Tennis Academy”) successfully offered 6 free tennis courses thanks to “One Stop” convenience store. Courses such as Tots 10is, Cardio 10is for kids and MotorSkillZ (intense movement training full of joy and interaction) were created to bring children from 2 to 13 years old into a healthy lifestyle.
Parents were also involved in the “Mini Red Family”. “Lizelle Goosen mother of a 4 year-old boy was full of praise for the Tots 10is course: “My son loved doing the sessions with me, every Saturday he was so excited because he knew I was going to play tennis with him. The lessons are very creative and fun, everything was well organised and the coaches were very friendly.”
10is director Sebastien Scaux said: “Our goal is not only teach tennis but create a community feel where all individuals are included. One Stop has helped us launch some concept courses and we are now hoping to carry them on and create a legacy. There’s a lot more to come. Our next projects are new courses for Junior players aged 13 to 18 year-old and also for adults from beginners to match players. Ely is a vibrant and growing place and the Academy would like to reflect that.”
