Join business leaders, professionals, and community members for a vibrant afternoon of networking, refreshments, and celebration at the Annual Summer Drinks Reception, held at the prestigious Old Hall Ely on the beautiful Cathedral Terrace.
Taking place just a mile from the historic heart of Ely, this grand Jacobean manor offers the perfect setting for an elegant and enjoyable summer gathering. The Summer Drinks Reception invites delegates to connect in a relaxed and scenic environment while enjoying a specially curated menu of canapés, fizz, and soft drinks.
This year’s event will feature music from a live DJ, setting the tone for an unforgettable afternoon of networking and conversation in one of Cambridgeshire’s most sought-after venues.
We are excited to welcome Mona Shah MBE, the founder of Harry Specters, as our special guest. Mona has built Harry Specters into a social enterprise that not only creates high-quality, handcrafted chocolates but also provides meaningful employment and training to young people with autism. Under her leadership, the business has gained national recognition, winning multiple awards for its social impact and its delicious range of chocolates. Mona’s story is an inspiring example of how social entrepreneurship can change lives, and we’re thrilled to have her join us for this event.
Mona has just been listed in the King’s Birthday Honours, receiving an MBE for her services to Training and Employment for Young People with Autism. Mona commented: “I hope it sends a message that social enterprise matters, that businesses can put purpose first and still thrive. And I hope it inspires others, especially parents of autistic children, or those thinking of starting something new, to believe in the power of small beginnings.”
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Mona and hear firsthand about her journey, as well as the incredible work she is doing to empower young people and raise awareness about autism. Mona’s presence will add a unique dimension to the event, offering delegates the chance to connect with a leader in both the business and social impact sectors.
Whether you’re looking to entertain clients, reward your team, or build new connections across sectors, the Summer Drinks Reception promises a stylish and sociable afternoon that’s not to be missed.
Secure your place today and toast to a summer of new connections and great conversation.
