We are a team of 24 students and staff that will be travelling next year to work alongside teachers and children at two charity funded schools in a slum district of Nakuru, western Kenya. We will be assisting teachers in classes, building new classrooms, refurbishing existing classrooms, repairing classroom furniture and running multi-sports programmes with local youngsters.

In order to take part each participant has to raise £1,600. A number of fund-raising activities have already been organised, including a Curry for Kenya evening at the Spice Lounge in Littleport this Thursday (14th July) from 6.30pm. £15 for a three course meal, with 50% going towards the project. To book or find out more about the project, please contact Mark Sirot-Smith at the college on 01353 652818 or at msirot-smith@elycollege.co.uk
