Road to Wimbledon

Road to Wimbledon

With Wimbledon in its second week, 10is Academy players are getting ready for their Road to Wimbledon competition.
Twelve 10is Academy members went to Wimbledon on Friday to watch and support some of the English players (Bedene, Murray, Konta…). It was a very inspiring day for the young tennis players including Georgia, Alisa and Julian who will be competing in the “Road to Wimbledon” this coming weekend. The HSBC Road to Wimbledon is the biggest junior tournament in British tennis and gives all 14U players the opportunity to progress through to compete on the world famous grass courts at Wimbledon.
If any of the 3 future 10is stars wins their round they would next be playing at Wimbledon. It is a chance of a lifetime for these young prospects who are willing to commit hours of their lives to become the next Serena Williams or Andy Murray.

“We are lucky to have some talented players amongst our young players” says Sebastien Scaux – 10is Director – “If we combine their talent with hard work then we have the formula for greatness. While we are here to help them on their journey, it is up to them to reach for greatness and embrace it. The journey will be full of obstacles and failures and their reaction to these obstacles and failures will determine how far they will go.”
The 10is players and other county winners will meet this weekend at Hills Road Tennis Centre, Cambridge. Spectators are welcome.
