Rotary Club of Ely present Hospice with £1000

The Rotary Club of Ely has now been serving the communities of Ely and district for over 70 years, supporting many well known charities in this area and the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity was delighted to be selected as the beneficiary of their latest four figure donation.
On the international front The Rotary Club of Ely have supported many projects including Water Aid in Africa and Asia, and are presently active in Rotary Foundation’s ’Polio Plus Campaign’ to rid the world of Polio. In addition the club send ’Shelter Boxes’ to disaster areas throughout the world when they occur.
The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity were thrilled to receive the funds which were raised at the well-known in Ely event Aquafest and through the Rotary Club’s annual Christmas collection. The generous gift will help the charity to fund vital care and support for more than 1000 patients and their loved ones per year across Cambridgeshire both today and in the years ahead.
Rotarians and their guests were able to learn more about the charity, the care offered and the holistic approach taken. The lunch also provided a super opportunity to provide an exciting update as to the progress of the new hospice appeal and to watch a fly through video clip of the completed project.
