During the last week of the summer term, members of the Rotary Club of Ely were busy presenting Usborne Dictionaries for Life to year 6 pupils at primary schools in and around Ely.
The presentations were organised by the Ely Rotary Club vocational service chairman Viv Doji.
In total 155 dictioneries were presented to pupils of four schools, namely St. John’s Primary in Ely, Rackham School, Witchford, Sutton Primary School and Little Thetford Primary School.
Funds to finance the dictionaries are raised by raffles at Rotary events.
This year the Rotary Club of Ely was able to double the number of dictionaries presented thanks entirely to a matching grant from the Rotary Foundation, which is Rotary International’s own charity..
