Having returned after our Christmas break on Monday night, on Thursday we presented several badges and certificates to recognise hard work and achievement in The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and First Aid Training.
Congratulations to Corporal Jay Carter, Leading Cadet Christian Montoya, and Leading Cadet Thea Poli, who received their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award Certificates and Badges. The cadets also received their Bronze DofE lapel badges, which we are glad to hear they wore at School and College. The cadets are already busy working towards their Silver Awards.
Congratulations to Leading Cadets James Wallman, Logan Constable and Oliver Bennett who were awarded their St John’s Ambulance Youth First Aid badge.
Having previously achieved their “Heart Start” badge by learning CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) the cadets attended a two day First Aid course covering all aspects of emergency First Aid culminating in a series of testing scenario role plays.
It’s great to be getting back to face to face activities and great to get back together again but we can’t wait to get back to our Squadron’s Headquarters which are currently being completely refurbished and redecorated.
