After months of just talking about it, Spotted in Ely Radio Goes Live at 6pm tonight (10 December 2020) with a soft launch which will mean that local new presenters can begin to learn how to create entertainment for the city of Ely to a worldwide audience.
The venture is a new arm of the newly formed Good Vibes Local Community Interest Company which umbrellas everything Spotted in Ely. The new CIC means that we can grow the good community feel social media project which spills into real life.
The radio station has been very lucky secure a Head of Music in the highly experienced Craig Dane, formally of Star Radio and still works from time to time for Heart. We also have local house DJ Steven Funnell joining us plus over 20 volunteers all working in the background towards a full launch in the first quarter of 2021.
You can tune in to tonight’s 2 hour launch party online, through the android app and via Alexa. Mark Cooney, Editor of Spotted in Ely will be doing the first hour and Craig the second.
The station will be formally opened by Sue Austen, the Mayor of Ely.
