Franchise company 23.5 Degrees has opened a new Starbucks store in the Cloisters. The previous occupants Carrington’s closed last year.
This is the second store of Starbucks to come to Ely but the original coffee shop was owned by head office.
The shop has gone under a new lick of paint and furniture which is neutral and also need permission from the council to change the exterior look.
From the doors opening on Friday, customers have not stopped coming in and store manger Claire Crittenden seems to have the staff working in a steady order right from the off.
23.5 Degrees have sent Project Manager – Frederike Rhodes to oversee the opening as she did with their other local Starbucks of which they own 4 in Cambridge and 1 in Bury St Edmunds as well as more than 20 others around the UK.
