On Friday December 6th, 276 students from Witchford Village College participated in an annual 12 Hours of Sport event. The event raised valuable funds for The Malcolm Whales Foundation, a charity who raises money for those affected by cancer.
The students participated in sports from 07:00am to 07:00pm, ranging from Trampolining, Ultimate Frisbee, Festive Run, Football and lots more. Witchford Village College also had the privilege of welcoming Olympic athlete, Dwain Chambers, to the college to participate in the charity event.
Organiser of the event at WVC and Physical Education Lead Courtney Pettifor said; ‘The day was a resounding success with all the Witchford Village College community pulling together to raise an amazing £5,000 for charity. The students behaved impeccably well and were a credit to the college. Having Dwain Chambers in for the event was amazing; he inspired so many students and staff and was a pleasure to have around.’
