A LARGE amount of suspected illegal substances were seized during a police raid on a Littleport property on Thursday.
Led by PC Andy Free from Ely Police Station, officers executed a search warrant in Upton Place under the Misuse of Drugs Act after investigating reports of antisocial behaviour.
Using a specially trained drugs dog from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire dog unit, police discovered “a substantial quantity of white powder, of unpackaged pills and tablets, and other substances”.
Sgt Phil Priestley said: “Our focus on the address was related to an increase in antisocial behaviour and the negative effect on the quality of life that was caused to vulnerable people in the immediate area.
“We are particularly determined to attack criminality that harms the most vulnerable people in our communities, and it is important to reassure the public that where we identify that this is happening, we will will respond robustly.”
A woman, 26, was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A substances with intent to supply.
Police urge people to report suspected crime by calling 101 or leaving a private message on their Facebook page.
They can also call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
