On Sunday 29th May swimmers from City of Ely ASC attended the March Marlins Fenland Open Sprint Meet and had a very successful time winning 9 Gold, 6 Silver, 4 Bronze medals and achieving 54 Personal Best Times.
Excellent swims by Megan Clarke and Daniel Kendall helped them to achieve the Top 13 year old girl and Top 15 year old boy awards respectively. Megan also won 4 gold and 1 silver medals, with Daniel winning 3 Gold and 2 Silver medals.
More highlights included medals for Oliver Fuller 2 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 bronze, Erin Mae Carey 2 Silver, 1Bronze, Imogen Ryan 1 Bronze, Zoe Thompson 1 Bronze.
All the swimmers had a successful time, achieved PBs and enjoyed competing – congratulations to all attendees, some competing for the first time at an open meet – the attendees not listed above are Beau Brown, Lola Carey, William Clarke, Keisuke Hatch, Charlie Jarvis, Finley Jones, Alexander New, Cillian O’Brien, Shea O’Brien, Alexander Pashley, Bella Pillow, Madeleine Pillow, Xanthe Rowe, Thomas, Ryan, Dominic Thompson, Sebastian Thompson, Phillip Trelford, Lauren Turnock.
