The staff and PTA at The Shade Primary school want to raise money to buy resources to create a sensory room for all children to access.
There are many benefits to having a sensory room, many that support children’s Mental health and emotional well being. Other benefits include; improving a persons emotional state, including increased happiness and relaxation and decrease levels of anxiety, distress, agitation and aggression, and physiological stress.
Some of the resource’s we are hoping to raise money for are, fibre optic lights, bubble tubes, light projectors, light up kits, UV kits, music system and more.
In the month of March the staff at The Shade Primary School are getting ACTIVE!! We are aiming to walk, run or cycle 1000 miles by the end of March. That’s 100 miles for every year The Shade has been open and an extra 300 bonus miles.
