Planning a clear out or after a bargain?
Teachers and parents at Goslings Pre-School in Ely hope their first ever Nearly New Sale will raise enough cash to boost their garden area – just in time for spring.
Pre-school manager Michelle Smith hopes the fundraiser on February 21 will help fund new toys, equipment and plants.
There are plans for a new sensory garden to help teach youngsters about their environment through play. Mrs Smith would also like to revamp some of the older toys and equipment.
She said: “We’ve been gifted the land for the pre-school. To make it exciting for the children, there are things we want to put in place that our normal budget won’t cover.”
Goslings Pre-School, which is housed on the site of the Lantern School, is a charity.
Mrs Smith said: “Any extras have to be paid for through fundraising. We really hope that the whole community will get behind our first ever Nearly New Sale and help us raise money for toys and equipment for the children.”
The Nearly New Sale will be held from 10am to 12pm at the Lantern School, Nene Road, Ely, CB6 2WJ.
Stallholders will be selling quality pre-loved baby and children’s toys, clothes and equipment.
Admission is 50p for adults and free for children. There will be refreshments available to purchase.
If you would like a stall, please post £6 cash and your contact details to Heather Brooks, 52 Cambridge Road, Ely.
