Viva Theatre Company welcome you to this Hitchcock masterpiece mixed with a juicy spy novel (with a dash of Monty Python for good measure!)
The show will be performed by a very talented cast of six who have been working very hard, learning all the different accents and quick changes in this intriguing and riotous comedy.
The show hurtles a notorious fugitive and a spellbound blonde from a London music hall north by northwest to Scotland’s most remote highlands. Will they save Britain from a den of devious spies?
The cast of six brilliant comic actors play over 128 characters in this fast-paced tale of an ordinary man on an extraordinarily entertaining adventure. The 39 Steps contains every single legendary scene from the award-winning movie — including the chase on the Flying Scotsman, the escape on the Forth Bridge, the first theatrical bi-plane crash ever staged and a sensational death-defying finale.
From the creative team who produced Viva’s Brassed Off in 2017 (revised in Cambridge in 2019) and Goodnight Mister Tom in 2018, Directors Keith Gallois and Alison O’Connor say “This is a roller coaster ride not to be missed! The 39 Steps takes place at Fordham Victoria Hall, 12-52 Carter St, Fordham, Ely CB7 5NJ on 5th, 6th and 7th December 2019 at 7.30pm.
There is also a matinee performance on Saturday 7th December at 3pm.
