Last Sunday, 17th January 30+ dogs took part in a charity walk on behalf Animal Rescue Centre and The Arthur Rank Hospice from Downham Market to the rescue centre in Denver.
Friends and family of Angie, who is currently receiving care from the hospice is why all breeds from Chihuahua’s to St Bernard’s came out for the glorious winter stroll.
Long term Tesco employee, mother and grand-mother Angie from Soham managed to make the start of the event and see them all off despite her illness which inspired all the participants to raise more money than they expected.
Angie is also a prolific fund-raiser herself. Her colleagues and friends recently raised £1000 for Macmillan.
At the end of the 1 hour walk, hot refreshments were on hand to warm those winter chills.
So far they have raised £590 and the total is still growing. You can give to both causes through a set up JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/Shirleyahammond/
