We were Bowled Over

Hundreds of people turned up for what was an amazing afternoon of fun at Strikes Bowling in Ely on Sunday.
We even invited the 3rd Scouts down to play some bowling as a thank you from Ely for their amazing efforts in cleaning up parts of the City after Spotted in Ely posted a photo of litter in our public areas.

For many hours the bowling lanes were full and even had a waiting list. Planet Zoom was alive to sounds of younger ones enjoying the play area and Sammi the Magician.

Spotted in Ely favourite Michael Antony graced the bowling crowd with his crooning and had people young and old dancing in the aisles.
Overall it was a resounding success. AJ, the Events Booking Manager said, “It was even better than we had ever hoped, the atmosphere was fantastic and the crowds were amazing”.
Strikes asked us to host the event in order to make everyone aware that they are still open for business and that they plan to be some time despite local papers reporting they were closing so that Cambridgeshire County Council could acquire the building.
