Ely City WI kicked off 2023 with a fantastic first meeting. Welcoming 8 new members, it was great for everyone to catch up and enjoy two quiz rounds, a bring and share buffet, book blind date and raffle.
As well as submitting votes for the 2023 resolutions, members had chance to hear about the exciting projects planned for the coming year including craft ventures, celebrating the coronation and a range of varied activities including the usual sug-group meets and fundraising activities.
If you are new to the area or would just like to get out and meet new people, then we would love to hear from you. However, you would like to get involved with Ely City WI we’d be happy to tell you more.
February 2023 will also see Ely City WI ‘show the love’ in raising awareness of the impacts of Climate Change by crafting green hearts for public display to highlight a call for action to create a cleaner, greener world (www.theclimatecoalition.org/show-the-love).
Our next meeting is on Monday 13th February 7.15pm at The Old Dispensary, St Mary’s Street, Ely, CB7 4ER. With guest speaker Jeannette Moser talking about “Everybody has a story to tell” there’ll be a jewellery sale and a baked heart shaped biscuit competition.
