Witchford farm shop raided during brazen break-in

A white van, equestrian equipment and a large quantity of fruit and vegetables were snatched from a Witchford shop during a brazen break-in last night.

Between 5.30pm yesterday (November 14) and 5.30am this morning, Scott’s Farm Shop in Sutton Road, near the A142, was raided by thieves, who forced their way in.

Items stolen included a white transit van, registration WM52LBU, a large quantity of fruit and vegetables, equestrian equipment and tack.
The burglars left behind a small green wooden trailer.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time.

“In addition to stealing items from the shop the offenders caused considerable damage to the building and other stock items inside.
“I’d urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area last night or who has been offered the items listed to contact us as soon as possible.”
