Ely Police Station welcomed its youngest addition to the team today – work experience student William Andrews.
The 14-year-old Ely College student will be spending the week at the station, gaining an insight into policing across East Cambridgeshire.
William, who hopes to join the police when he leaves school, started his first day attending a briefing before getting a tour of Police Headquarters in Hinchingbrooke.
He then helped an officer conduct essential vehicle checks on police cars before getting a one-to-one with District Inspector Marcia Pringle.
According to Policing East Cambridgeshire’s Facebook page, William threats to publish an “explosive tell all account of his time on duty” on his blog on Friday.
