Join us at Ely Museum for a fun day finding out what archaeologists really do! With a variety of hands-on activities which are suitable for all ages on offer, pop down during the day on Saturday 10th June to find out more and have lots of fun!
Whether you want to dress up as an archaeologist and take a selfie, handle some real artefacts that archaeologists have dug up, or meet archaeologists and learn about all the different jobs they do – there is lots to try at our Family Fun Day!
Elie Hughes, Curator at Ely Museum says;
“We hope lots of families will come along to what promises to be a fun and interactive event – there will be something for everyone to enjoy! Archaeology is not just digging, so please come along and find out more. I would have loved an event like this when I was a teenager ”
Discover how archaeologists find out about the environment in the past and how they record what they find on a dig.
If you are a Brownie, why not come along and work towards your Archaeology badge too?
Join us on the day between 10:30am and 4pm, just drop in.
All activities are included with museum admission ticket or annual pass.
The event is supported by Oxford Archaeology.
