There has been an issue raised on ShapeYourPlace about the junction of Broad Street/Back Hill in Ely.
Many years ago at the junction with Broad Street and Back Hill there was no left hand side curb and so cars wishing to turn left could keep flowing unlike today where the curb has been put in and any cars wishing to turn right at the junction are causing long queues. This road is narrow at the best of times with parked cars and heavy traffic flow. Why do the Highways Dept not take away the curb again to try and elevate congestion?
