Cathedral View Childcare has been crowned Overall Winner at the Cambridgeshire SME Awards 2026 after an exceptional week for the growing family-run business.
The award came just days after the childcare provider celebrated a successful Ofsted inspection at its Central setting, making it a landmark moment for the Cathedral View team.
Directors Hayley and Steve Pierson attended the awards ceremony alongside members of their team. As part of a tradition at Cathedral View, different staff members are invited to awards events each year so the wider team can share in the recognition.
During the evening, Cathedral View Childcare received:
Gold Award for Employer of the Year
Silver Award for Business Woman of the Year, awarded to Director Hayley Pierson
Overall Winner at the Cambridgeshire SME Awards 2026
The Overall Winner award is selected from all category winners and recognises achievement, leadership, business growth, community impact and organisational excellence.
Speaking after the ceremony, Hayley Pierson said:

Cathedral View Childcare has continued to grow across East Cambridgeshire while maintaining its focus on high-quality early years education and care. The organisation supports hundreds of local families and has become known for its commitment to staff development, community involvement and charitable fundraising.
The Employer of the Year award recognises Cathedral View’s continued investment in its team, including career progression, leadership development, staff wellbeing and a culture that supports professional growth.
The organisation has also supported The Lullaby Trust through fundraising and awareness-raising activity, reflecting its commitment to causes that matter to the families and communities it serves.
Steve Pierson added:
