City of Ely Council has reopened applications for grants to local voluntary and charitable organisations for a limited period.
Applications are invited from organisations providing services that benefit people living in Ely and the villages of Prickwillow, Stuntney, Chettisham, Queen Adelaide and Shippea Hill.
The council has a small annual budget for grants and does not encourage applications that are solely intended to cover an organisation’s running costs.
Under Local Government Regulations, grants cannot be awarded to individuals. Funding will also not be provided to cover staff salaries.
Organisations that believe they meet the criteria can download an application form from the City of Ely Council website at elycity.gov.uk. The form can be found under Our Services, followed by Grants, where the full criteria and grants policy are also available.
The closing date for applications is 10am on Thursday 6 August 2026.
