Beetle Drive Family Games Night

This simple game using a dice, paper and pen will soon have you on the edge of your seat!

The aim of each round is to be the first to draw a beetle. With 4 chairs to a table, you will take turns to roll the dice and different numbers will enable you to draw different parts of the beetle, gaining points for each part drawn. There will be lots of shouting out, groaning and cheering! You might also move to a different table between rounds.

At the end of the evening, you add up all your points for each round and there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for those with the most points. First prize is a family ticket to South Angle Farm Park.

The beetle drive will be hosted by our very own Mrs Tait, who will explain the rules clearly and guide us through the rounds.

There will be 4-6 rounds, then a break for food midway through the event, followed by a final 4-6 rounds.

The ticket price is £5 PER CHAIR. A chair is a game playing place which can be filled EITHER by:

a) an adult

b) a Key Stage 2 child able to play alone. A key stage 2 child playing alone needs to be confident in adding up their own points and moving tables independently if needed.

c) an adult playing alongside a younger child (max. 2 young children)

Babies and toddlers are welcome to come with their families but please note there are NO toys or activities provided for them.

Please note all children remain the responsibility of their parent/carer throughout the event.

Food

During the half-way break, hotdogs and pizzas will be served, along with an optional side of veggie sticks. Your ticket price includes either a hotdog or one portion of pizza, plus veggie sticks. Additional hot food can be purchased for any children playing alongside adults.

Homemade cake, tea/coffee, soda cans and fruit shoots will also be available to purchase throughout the event. Unlimited squash is included in the ticket price.
