“Fenwomen. A Portrait of Women in an English Village” by Mary Chamberlain
In 1975 Mary Chamberlain published “Fenwomen. A portrait of women in an English village”. The book was based on memories of women in Isleham, some of which dated back to the late 19th century. Mary pioneered the use of oral history in the study of women’s history, and the Isleham Society are delighted to welcome her to talk about her research and books.
