Isleham Priory Open Morning
Saturday 18 July 2026 – 10am to noon – Isleham Priory Open Morning
Isleham has a rare example of an ancient Medieval Priory.
It was probably built around 1190, and much of the structure from that time exists although the building has served a number of different purposes.
The Isleham Society, in co-operation with English Heritage, offer this open morning, so you can come and admire this listed building near the feast day of St Margaret of Antoich, to whom the chapel is dedicated.
In addition, ‘Brother Andrew’, (who bears some resemblance to the ISoc Chairman) will tell folk in a family friendly way about the ‘whys’ and ‘whens’ of the Priory, and about the daily lives of his fellow monks who lived and served here so many years ago (10:30am and 11:30am).
Isleham Priory, Church Street, Isleham, Cambridgeshire, CB7 5RX
If you can’t make the open day, you can find out more about how to visit the priory on the English Heritage website:
