Ever played netball or basketball? Loved the fast pace, passing, shooting and teamwork? Then have you ever thought about giving KORFBALL a go?
Littleport Lions Korfball Club is RECRUITING new players, and we think you’d love it!
Korfball is a fantastic mix of netball and basketball, combining the best bits of both sports!
From basketball: You’ll recognise the shooting element, aiming to score through a hoop – although in korfball there’s no backboard! From netball: You’ll recognise the passing, footwork, movement, teamwork and tactical side of the game. But here’s what makes korfball different…– It’s a mixed-gender sport, with men and women playing together in the same team.
– Everyone gets the chance to attack, defend and shoot.
– There’s plenty of running, passing, jumping and teamwork.
– You can’t dribble or run with the ball, so passing and finding space are key!
Whether you’ve played netball for years, spent time on the basketball court, or simply fancy trying something completely different, your existing skills could give you a great head start!
Never played before? No problem! You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a go.
