Sand & Vision Photographic Exhibition
Sand & Vision, a powerful photographic exhibition by young Sahrawi refugees, will be in the South West Transept of Ely Cathedral from Friday 29 September to Saturday 14 October.
Olive Branch Arts, in collaboration with acclaimed photographer Emma Brown, and in conjunction with Amnesty International Ely City group presents a compelling exhibition. It unveils the stories and experiences of young Sahrawi refugees in Algerian refugee camps, where they have been living since Moroccoโs invasion of Western Sahara in 1975.
Emma Brown’s award-winning photographs capture the essence of resilience and hope shown by this marginalised community. This collaboration underscores the importance of human rights and the hopes of the Sahrawi refugees of eventually returning to their homeland.
