Fire Service Heroes at Corkers Crisps

Several Fire units were called to Corkers Crisps at around 2.45pm today as reports of a major fire incident at the closed premises.

Having spoken briefly to one of the owners, he was pleased to report everyone is safe and this was later confirmed by a member of the Fire Service who told Spotted in Ely that it was both the warehouse and the factory involved in the fire.

Smoke has been reported seen from as far away as Manea, Wimblington and Donnington.

There are currently six crews including a crane and water carrier on scene plus other emergency services.

More information to come as we get it.
