The world most renowned steam locomotive, The Flying Scotsman was supposed to be passing through Ely on May 25th.
However Cathedral Tours, the operator of the train has decided to cancel several trips planned the renovated engine due to safety fears. Earlier this month, nearly 60 people put themselves in danger as the train passed through St. Noets en-route to Peterborough.
The company hope that once all the excitement of the great machine has calmed down then the tours would continue. He said, “Its the right thing to do but sad for enthusiasts”.
