Ghostly new tour of Cromwell’s House not for the faint-hearted

Prepare to be scared during a new tour with a twist: an alternative guided tour of Oliver Cromwell’s House this Halloween warns visitors to “be prepared for unexplained bumps and noises”.

For the first time, ghost hunters will be treated to an evening look around the 12th Century building, which has “a variety of visitors which frequently visit after dark,” organisers say.

Be prepared to walk alongside ghostly figures, as sightings are guaranteed on this guided evening tour.
Tracey Harding, tourism and town centres manager at East Cambridgeshire District Council said: “Building on the popularity of our established ghost tours, we are delighted to offer a new tour around Oliver Cromwell’s House this October.
“So whether you brave the streets of haunted Ely or dare to visit Cromwell’s House, we guarantee a memorable experience this Halloween.”
Tickets for both spooktacular tours must be pre-booked and are now on sale for a variety of dates in October.
