Ely Brick Show Valentine’s Special celebrates love of Lego.
Ely Brick Show will be celebrating a love of all things Lego when they return to the city for their
Valentine’s Special in February.
The “Love Bricks” event at the Lantern School on February 7 will be building its way into Lego-lovers’ hearts, promising a bigger, brighter and more creative show than ever before. Offering everything from the bustling lights of a fairground to the timeless charm of Winnie the Pooh, the charity fundraiser, hosted by Ely Brick Show and Friends of the Lantern School (FOTLS), will also boast a mechanised Lego marble run, fun family activities like Robot Wars and Spot the
Minifigure, and dedicated play zones for hands-on fun..
Show organiser Duncan Bridges said: “From War of the Worlds to a roaring football stadium, there’s something to capture every imagination.
“Marvel at vintage trains and planes, enjoy Medieval villages and step inside scenes from Harry Potter and Star Wars. If that’s not enough, we have cat cafes, Belville – and so much more.”
In addition there will be traders selling Lego and other brick-themed goodies, as well as food trucks and refreshments.
Mr Bridges added: “Don’t miss out on the best Lego event in Cambridgeshire.”
FOTLS chair Meredith Hux Atkins said: “It’s an absolute privilege for us to host Ely Brick Show again at the Lantern School. This is a fabulous community event, appealing to people of all ages.
“Forget chocolates and roses – say it with Lego this Valentine’s!”
Look out for a massive display at City Cycle Centre and other displays around the City!
To date Ely Brick Show has raised over £11,000 for charity. Tickets for the Love Bricks show cost £5 in advance and £7 on the door, with all proceeds going to FOTLS and Ely Food Bank.
Raffle tickets are also now on sale, with prizes including £100 to spend at City Cycle Centre, a Lego Haunted Mansion, Lego Marvel New Guardians Ship and other Lego-related prizes.
