A “wonderful” dog whose eyes were surgically removed has today found his “forever home”.
Pooch was a familiar sight at RSPCA Block Fen and could often be spotted taking a snooze in the Wimblingdon shelter’s reception area.
On its Facebook page, the charity says: “Pooch unfortunately had to have both of his eyes removed due to medical reasons, but this hasn’t stopped this wonderful man finding himself a forever home.”
Block Fen is preparing for its annual Gala Day and Fun Dog Show, which will be held on Saturday, July 16.
“We are asking for help with donations towards our bottle tombola, these can also be jars. We are also looking for prizes for our big raffle and other tombolas. No prize is too small.”
All proceeds will go towards helping animals “ here in our care who have been removed from situations of cruelty and neglect by the RSPCA Inspectors in East Anglia”.
