Real Hero’s Don’t Wear Capes, They Wear Trainers!

We had the pleasure in awarding the latest Community Star Awards at Ely Cathedral in front of the Magnificent Christmas tree.

Matt Bradney Jessica Dixon, Stuart Grainger, Joe Ison and Livia Dixon are all well known around the Ely area, also in the Business Community.

The team were nominated by a Spotted in Ely follower for the outstanding and selfless support they have given the community across the pandemic and over the years.

Atrium Fitness and Joe Ison Personal Training have providing a huge amount of support to local community across the pandemic with online classes, Free Outdoor Boot Camps and much more to ensure the mental health and fitness was supported.

Nothing is ever too much trouble and with multiple support given to the community with fitness advice, nutrition, sponsorships and fundraising.

Local business owner Stuart Grainger has supported a number businesses around communications to ensure clients could continue to work from any location around the UK and his continued support for multiple community, sports and charities has been instrumental in helping people over the last ten years.

What brought these people together was a fundraising opportunity to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity in helping Joe Hemsley-Rudd in various events.

All the team have given up so much personal time, training and so much more in helping raised a phenomenal sum of £24,000 in less than two years.

Jessica is a driving force who is the manager of the Atrium Fitness and she has an infectious attitude to help push the team to new goals and in the recent 24 Hour Cycling event she supported the team to smash the target.

Livia has been one who has been behind the scenes constantly posting and managing the behind the scenes on Marketing to promote anything the Team has required around the Fundraising and she has put in hundreds of hours of work to support team.

Across all the team they have made a significant difference to the local community and they all deserve the Community Star they have been presented together.

I am sure you will join me in wishing them a very happy Christmas and continue to make Ely a fantastic place to live with these community heroes around.

Our thanks to Well Heeled of Ely for engraving our Community Star Awards as always they do an amazing job!
