Soham Comrades Band takes 3rd place in the Nationals

Soham Comrades competed yesterday in the London & Southern Counties 2nd Section Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and scooped a brilliant 3rd placing out of 16 bands .
The band has had a brilliant 12 months . In January we competed in the Butlins Mineworkers Competition and came 2nd out of 24 bands and won £1000 . We also came 2nd last October at the Milton Keynes Brass Band Contest and 2nd last May at the SCABA entertainments contest in Crawley .
The bands hard work and dedication under the leadership of Jayne Murrill has certainly been paying off with consistent top of the table results . Just a little more of a push in the next 12 month to hit the number 1 spot!
Soham Comrades are a band to be watched in this area.
We are now looking forward to performing locally throughout the year and will find another competition to do at the end of this year !
