Spotted in Ely names Princess of Wales Hospital Charitable Trust as our Charity of the Year

Spotted In Ely Princes of Wales Charitable Trust

We’re so proud to announce that Spotted in Ely has chosen the Princess of Wales Hospital Charitable Trust as our Charity of the Year.

The hospital is such an important part of our community. From the very first birth, back in 1940, to the care it provides today, it has been there for almost every family in Ely at some point or another. The Charitable Trust raises money to make a real difference for patients and staff by funding extras that go beyond the NHS, such as specialist equipment, welcoming spaces and better facilities.

Over the next year, we will be working closely with the Trust to raise awareness and funds for projects that really matter, including improvements to the urgent treatment centre and children’s services.

Our very first fundraiser is already in the diary:

🍛 Curry on Fundraising
📍 Le Spice, Ely
📅 Wednesday 29 October, 7pm
🎶 Live music from EJ Stone
💷 £20 per person with a set menu including starter, curry, rice and bread

Booking is essential. Please call Le Spice on 01353 664299 to reserve your place. Spaces are limited and raffle prize donations are also very welcome.

Our Treasurer Jo Pearson, who has been working closely with the Trust and has organised this first event, said:

“The Princess of Wales Hospital means so much to local people. Many of us have been touched by the care and kindness shown by its staff. Working with the Charitable Trust has opened my eyes to just how much difference extra funding can make and I am delighted that our first event is already bringing the community together.”

We would love as many of you as possible to join us on the 29th. Good food, good music and good company all for a cause that matters to us all.
