Tigerettes run The Spartan for NSPCC

Tigerettes LogoWe are a group of Ladies of various fitness levels and ages, trying to raise money for NSPCC. Our team is called the Tigerettes, as we are doing this in conjunction with Ely Tigers Rugby Club.
Our team consists of:
Debbie Marshall (Organiser), Sarah Thomas, Nikki Thomas, Serena Storey, Joanna Thompson, Kim Jones and Roz Lacey.
We are running the 5K Spartan Race, on September the 5th, its an obstacle course race, which consists of climbing ropes, carrying heavy weights and wading through mud, water and anything else the race organisers throw at us!
We are all currently training hard for this gruelling event.
NSPCC is a Charity for helping abused Children, because every childhood is worth fighting for.
Spartan LogoThey work directly with children and families on a range of issues – from protecting children from sexual abuse, through to helping families who misuse drugs and alcohol and providing social workers with the tools they need to tackle neglect.
They also visit schools and talk to Children 9-11 to help them understand what neglect is and help to give them the confidence to speak out.
Anyone who is a parent can understand how heart felt a situation can be when a child is suffering, a lot of the time abuse goes unnoticed, and this is why it is so important to help the NSPCC by donating and making it possible them to help as many children as they can.
The Tigerettes thank each and everyone of you for reading this, even if you don’t donate, its helped raise awareness, but if everyone in Ely and its surrounding areas donated 50p, its a step towards our target – and it would be truly amazing to see how much everyone cares by not only reaching our target of £500.00 but by smashing it!
Donations can be made here: https://www.justgiving.com/TandTembroiderysolutions/ and we will post Photo’s of the actual event as well so that people can see how it went!
