Two Family Friendly Workshops Coming to Ely this June

Ely Library is hosting two unique events this June, as part of the current The Library Presents season.

On Wednesday 5th June, Steve Barbe will lead Bash Stuff and Save the World – a workshop where junk objects will be used to create music, play games and explore rhythm. Taking place on World Environment Day, the event is suitable for adults and families with children aged 4+. No drumming experience is required for the two hour workshop – enjoyment is the main aim!

On Saturday 15th June, author and artist Amanda Addison will share the story of a tiny bird that flies halfway around the world, looking for a place to nest, and a young girl from northern Africa who flees halfway around the world looking for safety. Boundless Sky: Storytelling, Writing and Art Workshop offers families with children aged 5+ the opportunity to create bird themed craft and written pieces together as a family.

Like many of The Library Presents events, thanks to public funding through Arts Council England, tickets for both of these events are heavily subsidised.

Book a place on the Bash Stuff and Save the World Workshop for just £6 for an adult or £3 for a child.

Family saver tickets are available for the Boundless Sky: Storytelling, Writing and Art Workshop for only £8, or £3 for a child.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of these workshops. Tickets must be purchased in advance either in the library, or online: www.library.live/the-library-presents
