A stunning selling exhibition of over 40 original etchings and lithographs by Pablo Picasso will be opening at Babylon ARTS a contemporary art gallery on Ely’s Riverside. This prestigious exhibition will be opened by Martin Millard, ASFAV, Director of Fine Art, Cheffins.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday 23 September – Sunday 22 October so there’s a month to catch this exhibition from one of the most important artistic figure of 20th century. The Spanish born artist is one of most well-known names in modern art, with the a distinct style and eye for artistic creation. There had been no other artists, prior to Picasso, who had such an impact on the art world, or had a mass following of fans and critics alike, as he did.
Coinciding with the exhibition WEA will be running a one day school on Picasso his life and work 10am – 4pm on Friday 22 September with WEA tutor Fiona Lucraft. There are now just a handful of places left so book now to ensure your place.
Entry to the gallery is free. Open Tuesday – Sunday 12pm – 4pm.
