A day of Successful Tree Planting in Ely

Last week we shared a story asking for volunteers to help plant trees and hedgerows on a site in Ely. Here’s an update:

Some photos from todays tree planting operation. We had 23 volunteers and perfect weather for it!

All the trees and hedging we had was planted today. We hope to put another hedge in next year as well.

Fingers crossed the trees survive the winter. We would love it if any wildlife enthusiasts wanted to track the wildlife that moves in over the two fields.

We have corn bunting and yellow hammers, roe deer and kestrels which moved in this summer with the wildflowers mixes. Also had loads of dragon flies and bees this summer.
