The baby swings at Cherry Hill Park have been removed due to safety concerns.
Today a spokeswoman from City of Ely Council told Spotted in Ely that the popular swings were initially removed from the playground on August 15 because they needed repair.
“However, it was felt that it would not be appropriate to re-erect these and we are now in the process of obtaining quotes for new equipment.
“We will ensure that this is replaced as soon as is possible and apologise for the loss of this piece of equipment, but safety of the children has to be our top priority.”
The City of Ely Council is responsible for play areas across the city as well as at Stuntney and Prickwillow.
