Congratulations to Daniel Kendall from City of Ely Swimming Club who became the first junior from the club to compete at Swim England’s East Region Long Course Distance Championships since 2009.
At the long distance championships swimmers aged 14 years and under achieving the required Eastern Region qualifying times, compete at 800m and 1,500m Freestyle. Daniel swam the 800m Freestyle yesterday in Luton gaining a long course (50m) personal best time as well as setting a new club record for his age group.
Next weekend Daniel swims with some of his teammates in the final weekend of 2019’s eastern regional swimming championships in Norwich.
