Is Ely becoming the tennis hot-spot in Cambridgeshire?

Once again, the 10is Academy players and staff are shining outside the courts.
Vlad Kullish, one of the 10is Academy players and Tennis Assistant at the Academy, has been awarded the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) Cambridgeshire “Young volunteer of the year”. At the same time 10is Academy player and Ely Tennis Club committee member Rachel Peacock was awarded the LTA Cambridgeshire “Volunteer of the year” thanks to the tremendous work she has done at Ely Tennis Club.
I am absolutely delighted for Vlad and Rachel, they truly deserve their award!” said 10is Academy Director, Sebastien Scaux.
“Vlad has been volunteering for years and to me he is the perfect example of how great the young generation is. He is disciplined, respectful and always worked hard. He is an inspiration to the younger players.
“Rachel has been a strong 10is player for a few years now. Her work at Ely Tennis Club has been phenomenal. She injected a tremendous energy and, with the support of the club’s committee, she is driving the club forward matching the Academy’s ambitions.”
We will have a short pause to celebrate the recognition and then, we will go back to work to make tennis a popular sport in Ely.
The 10is Academy & Ely TC partnership has won 3 LTA awards in the last 3 years.
